Last week was the last week of summer for the kids.
On monday, we had open house for Baby Gurl I (no longer a baby). And daycare for Baby Gurl II (Montessori so she grows up smart).
I take Gurl I to school. This year my goal is to be out the door by 7:00am, which got me to work on time last week. Last year my goal was to be out the door at 7:30 am, but I'm always 15 - 20 minutes late on everything, so I was pretty much late everyday last year. My boss seems to look the other way and never mentions anything, but I know it bothers him.
I do clever things with the company software and I bring donuts for everyone now and again, so I think he just looks the other way. But I don't think luck lasts forever, so I'm trying to straighten up before anyone says anything.
Besides I did get in trouble for filling up the breakroom sink with hot water and putting my feet in it. I couldn't resist, they keep it really cold and I couldn't feel my toes. I still say I was acting out of pure survival instincts.
I also tried to fake a work injury so I could collect disability benefits, but that's all behind me.
Wow, this is a really boring column. Me and Stephen have been writing colums for the last ten years (check the archive -better stuff I guarantee).
Then around 2004, this blogger thing came around and everyone is writing blogs and what-not. Then "My Space, and Facebook, then Twitter." In most cases it's faceless people slapping meaningless blubs on the internet.
I like to think the "Lunatic Blogs" have been a little more than that...but as I continue to write, I realize...
...this week...
...it's not.
Am I now, officially an "Internet Blogger?"
Nice weather we're having, huh?
I had a potato-cake today.
Are you working hard, or hardly working. Heh, heh, heh.
Say did you see the game yesterday?
What about that weather?
I took my toddler for a walk today and we fed some ducks at the pond down the street.
Then we came home and had ice cream around 3pm. Ice cream, mmmmmmmm.
Currently feeling...melancholy.
COMING NEXT: Nice Weather.
